Ciryl Gane is the UFC heavyweight champion.
He stopped Alex Pereira at UFC Freedom 250 on June 14, 2026, and won the interim title. Tom Aspinall vacated the undisputed belt on September 14, 2026, and Gane was promoted. He has not defended it. The bout before that interim win was a no contest against Aspinall at UFC 321, stopped for an eye poke.
The two losses are a decision to Francis Ngannou at UFC 270 and a guillotine choke to Jon Jones at UFC 285. The first three wins came for TKO in Canada, including the heavyweight title there.
La Roche-sur-Yon is his birthplace. He fights out of Paris, trains at MMA Factory, and was a two-time French Muay Thai champion. He started MMA in 2018, earned a degree in management and marketing, and sold luxury furniture before he fought.
